California's
most popular run a river that thunders all season
long through the legendary gold country. Our outfitter
for this trip is the world-famous Outdoor Adventure River
Specialists (O.A.R.S.), owned by friend of Murphys Camp,
George Wendt.
Your
adventure begins with an overnight stay at Murphys Camp.
After breakfast, we'll pack a lunch to take along. The
trip to the American River takes about two hours to O.A.R.S.'
River Bend Camp near Coloma. We spend the rest of the day
rollicking through The Lower Gorge, with exciting Class

and Recovery Room, to name a few. We return to Murphys
Camp for the night. The cost varies depending on specific
time and trip, but may be in the $90-100 range. (Longer
one-day or two-day rafting trips, the latter including
tent camping overnight along the river, can also be
arranged. Meals provided. Call for more information.)
